Player Biography

Sergio Mitre was selected by the Chicago Cubs in the 7th round of the 2001 Amateur Draft. After the 2005 season concluded, he was then traded, along with Renyel Pinto and fellow Sosnick Cobbe client Ricky Nolasco, to the Florida Marlins in exchange for Juan Pierre.

After missing most of the 2006 season with a shoulder injury, Sergio was a focal point of the Marlins' rotation in 2007, setting career highs in wins, starts, and innings pitched.

Following the 2009 championship season, Mitre will be a fixture in the Yankee bullpen in 2010.

Paul and Matt are very good at what they do. They've always been upfront and honest.
