Player Biography
Mike was originally drafted by the Oakland A's in the 2001 Amateur Draft and led the organization with 14 wins in 2002. Wood was traded with Mark Teahan to the Kansas City Royals in 2004 and appeared in a career-high 47 games in 2005.
Mike joined the Texas Rangers and was a fixture in both the starting rotation and bullpen during the 2006 season. After spending 2008 in Japan with the Yokahama Bay Stars, Mike joined the Marlins organization and hopes to return to the Major Leagues soon.
