Player Biography


Josh Willingham played college ball at the University of North Alabama and was drafted by the Florida Marlins in the 17th round of the 2000 amateur draft. Willingham amassed  26 home runs and 74 RBIs during his rookie campaign in 2006, finishing second on the team in home runs. Although he   is most comfortable in left field, Josh is versatile enough to play multiple defensive positions.


Willingham, along with Scott Olsen, was traded to the Washington Nationals prior to the 2009 season.

Josh and his family make their home in Florence, AL, where Josh remains a strong figure in the small town community.
